String Beans and Tomatoes
2 pkgs. frozen string beans, defrosted
1 lg. can stewed tomatoes
1 small can pearl onions
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. sugar
¼ tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. pepper
Drain onions and combine all ingredients. Cook covered over low light
for ½ hour. Add a little water if necessary, to avoid burning. Adjust
seasonings and add salt if needed. Nice over rice or in the center of
a rice ring. Serves 6
